A Little Bit About Circle Square
Circle Square is Ballarat’s all-abilities movement hub a purpose built environment designed for people who want a calmer, safer and more human alternative to busy gyms and overwhelming community programs.

Created by experienced support workers and fitness professionals, our space blends evidence-based movement with person-centred support. We focus on sensory awareness, predictable routines and environments where people feel genuinely comfortable and confident.

Our facility includes an accessible gym, a private sensory room, a welcoming social space and quiet low-stim areas. Every session is tailored to the individual, whether they need gentle engagement, structured routines, personalised fitness or simply a place to feel safe and supported.

We welcome private-paying members and people using self-managed or plan-managed NDIS funding. Our team understands sensory, behavioural and emotional needs, and we aim to create experiences that feel supportive, empowering and truly inclusive.

At Circle Square, people feel seen, understood and able to move at their own pace.

Our Story So Far
Circle Square was created by three Ballarat locals Alex Bryan, Micah and Jono after years of supporting people in their homes, in gyms and out in the community. Across countless sessions, the same challenge kept appearing: many people wanted to be active and social, but the typical options simply weren’t built for them.

Mainstream gyms felt too busy, too loud and too overwhelming. Community programs often lacked the structure, sensory awareness or individual understanding that people needed to feel comfortable. We saw people trying their best to engage in environments that were never designed with them in mind and we knew there had to be a better way.
That realisation became the foundation for Circle Square. Our goal was simple: create a space that genuinely made sense for the people using it. A space shaped by calm, connection and thoughtful design. A space where movement could feel safe, predictable and empowering not stressful or inaccessible.

We built Circle Square to be exactly that environment. From a calm, accessible gym to a sensory-friendly room, from a welcoming social area to adaptable spaces for one-to-one and small group programs, every element was crafted with intention.

Circle Square isn’t just a facility it’s the result of years of listening, learning and understanding what people truly need to feel safe, supported and included. It’s a community built on real experiences, real relationships and a shared belief that everyone deserves a space designed for them.

And we’re only just getting started. Our vision is to continue growing a place where people can move, connect and belong — in a way that feels authentic, comfortable and empowering for every individual who walks through our doors.
