Doors open, first sessions, and new partnerships
February has been the month we’ve been working towards for a long time, Circle Square officially opened in the first week of February, and welcoming our very first participants bright and early on Monday morning was a feeling we won’t forget. After a year of planning, building, and backing the vision, seeing people walk through the doors made it all real.
With opening week underway, our focus quickly shifted to reconnecting with the many individuals and organisations who have shown interest throughout the journey. Over the past year we’ve had strong support and genuine curiosity from the local community and support coordinators, and February has been about turning those conversations into real visits, walkthroughs, and enrolments.
We were also excited to finally welcome participants from Human First who have been patiently waiting for the space to open. Seeing familiar faces settle in alongside new participants has been a great reminder of why Circle Square exists, to create a place where people can move, connect, and build confidence at their own pace.
Across the month we’ve met plenty of new faces, and the feedback so far has been incredibly positive. We’re grateful for every message, suggestion, and bit of encouragement — it’s helped shape the early days in the best way.
We also have an exciting addition inside our doors: Jo from Head to Foot Orthotics + Prosthetics has joined us on-site. Jo shares the same passion for supporting the Ballarat community, aligns strongly with our values, and brings a high level of skill and care to her work. Appointments will be available from the start of March, and we’re looking forward to seeing this partnership add even more value for the people we support.
February has been a huge first chapter and we’re just getting started.
