Keys in hand, boxes opened, and the space brought to life

January has been a massive month for Circle Square, the month we went from “almost there” to standing inside it with the keys in our hands.

The trades have officially wrapped up, with a full sign-off and completion ticked off. Not long after, we were granted access to the newly built space and that’s when it became all hands on deck. After months of waiting, planning, and storing equipment, we finally got to rip open the boxes that have been sitting in storage for what feels like forever.

We mapped out our days with one goal in mind: get the space ready to open. Building the equipment, finishing the flooring, laying the turf and everything needed to turn the building into the Circle Square environment we’ve pictured from the start.

What made this month even more special was the support around us. Over the five to six days it took to get everything done, we had a huge number of helpers come through from our partnered business, Human First. Many hands made light work but it was still a big effort, and the energy in the space was something we’ll remember for a long time.

We pushed through and completed everything on the Sunday, ready for trading on the Monday. It was exhausting, rewarding, and honestly pretty surreal.
